Angel

Writing this poem was the hardest thing ever I sat thinking all through the night

All the sad thoughts that filled my head

When my heart should be filled with delight.

I never understood why you were taken away

The questions nag in my head

These thoughts of happiness seem to never end

Until I go to bed

Its there in my dreams that we shall meet

The happiness I feel I pray will last

But I know that when I wake up

My joy has soon passed

In our hearts we hurt so much

But one day we will truly know

Just how precious our little Jacob is

Heaven just couldn't let you go.

So when those pearly gates open up for me

That's where the most beautiful angel God ever created is,

That's where my heart will rest finally.

So until then precious child

Your memory lives in our hearts for eternity,

But now all I have to do is look up at night

And that star shining bright

Well that's you,

You're looking down on me.

I'll see you in my dreams
