O lord I feel such pain
Because I love my children so
Today I knelt upon the floor
Trying to understand why I loved them more
My children they felt the pain through and through
Such pain would break your heart in two
Why did they feel the pain inside
It was because they love Jacob and he's died
If they had had a vision and knew the conclusion
Not to love Jacob could have been their decision
Without the love we would not have the pain
But this would not have been the route they'd have taken
Although you lost your Jacob you still love him so
And you may not think but your love for him will grow
The pain you feel will not get worse
Even though you will always grieve your loss
We experience the pain, Jesus felt upon the cross
And he will gradually heal your heart
But you will not know when it will start.
Jacob will always live on in your heart forever
