Our beautiful child
How we waited for your arrival
Joy and anticipation filled our hearts
We loved you before you were born,
But our world has been shattered
Your tiny heart had stopped beating
You were so still, you could have been sleeping
But if only this were the case.
We hoped beyond reason that they had got it wrong,
But there was no sound of your cries when you were born,
Instead it was our tears that rolled down our faces,
Our hearts filled with sadness and incomprehension
We wont get chance to see you smile or grow
We can only wonder what would have been,
But we will always love you more than you will ever know,
And we will never forget the time that we did have.
