Comfort

No-one knew that morning, and

No one knew a thing

The heartbreak that was coming

And no one could do a thing

The baby we were all waiting for.

The baby we could feel near

The baby coming into our family

The only one this year

The expected family celebrations

And the expected family cheer

Has been replaced by grief and fear

Especially for Chris and Debs whom we love so dear

Christmas is so near now, and met with deep regret

For the little girl with laughing eyes that I once knew

Is replaced by a woman with such sadness in her eyes,

That I know she and her husband are dying inside,

And there is nothing we can do.

We put our arms around you both

And fill you with our love

Because I had a dream last night

Of the land above

I heard a quior of angels

Singing up above

Lighting up they sky

And talking of the boy they love

They were thanking god for bringing him,

But they asked the question why?

And God said that he was too good for this earth

And he is sorry he made you cry.

The angels called the baby Jacob,

And looked at him with such love

Jacob looked at me without any fear

Whilst the angel kissed his face

The angel that held him

Said do not fear

Tell his Mummy and Daddy

That Jacob is always near

She told me to tell you that when you sleep

Jacob lies with you

And knows the memories you keep

He will love you forever,

And he hopes you both stay strong

And he will be back in your arms soon

Where he belongs

Sweet dreams baby Jacob in heaven above,

As we send you our love

Love Auntie Jo xx
