Welcome to Jacobs website.
We are Debbie and Chris Carter, Jacobs very proud Mummy and Daddy. We have been together since 2000 and got married in 2003.
Our beautiful baby boy was born peacefully sleeping on 24 th September 2006. That day will be etched on our hearts and in our minds forever.
We were shocked to find out that we were having a baby, it wasn't what we had planned, but our love for our baby began as soon as we knew of his existence. We were really excited whilst we waited the 9 months for his arrival.
The pregnancy progressed well, with no problems it seemed. Jacob moved around a lot and he loved kicking along to music. Dance music was his favourite, to the ‘horror' of his Daddy, but the delight of his Mummy.
Jacob grew and grew. The midwife said he was going to be a big baby and he was. He was 8lb 12ozs and 53cms long.
On the Saturday Jacob didn't seem to move so we called the hospital who said to go straight in. we thought that we were just being silly, this was all new to us and we thought we were just panicking for nothing, but we were wrong.
Neither the midwife nor the doctor could find Jacobs heartbeat so we were sent for a scan. In our hearts we knew, but we still hoped that they were wrong.
We were advised to ring our family so we weren't alone. They arrived as quickly as they could to be by our sides and we love them so much for that.
Labour was induced on the Saturday evening and our precious little angel was born at 22.18 on Sunday 24 th September 2006. He was 41 weeks and so perfect, he is the image of his Daddy and the doctors could see no reason as to why his little heart had stopped beating.
We got to hold our son, spend time with him and kiss him goodbye. Leaving him alone in the hospital broke our hearts, it wasn't supposed to be like that, our little boy should have been coming home with us. He was surrounded by so much love and he still is today.
We will never see our son grow, talk, laugh or play, but we were blessed with him for 9 months and for this we are thankful, and we will never forget him.
Jacob Andrew Ronald Carter is our beautiful little angel and we love and miss him more than words can say. We hope he is playing safely in the clouds and dancing amongst the stars.
